Silver Glen Centre for The Arts is a very special place full of history, natural beauty, art and culture. The Centre is a “Barn” built in the late 1800’s. The atmosphere is rustic and magnificent with the original woden beam construction exposed and a vaulted ceiling in the Main Hall that reaches 40 feet. The Main Hall has the most amazing natural acoustics It is a wonderful venue for the performing and visual Arts (events calendar) and is well suited for Private Parties, Weddings, Conferences and Retreats (rental).
The Silver Glen Centre is located on Mount Cameron overlooking Antigonish Harbour. From both the Centre and the Suites the view is wonderful. There are three rivers that meet the ocean waters of St. George’s Bay. The view is constantly changing with the tides and the seasons. The colours of nature are breathtaking. The Harbour is home to many species of birds and animals. There is a lovely hiking trail along the harbour that can be enjoyed by all ages. Silver Glen is located within walking distance to the charmiing university town of Antigonish, home of St. Francis Xavier University.
